About the Junior Golf Program

The I AM a Golfer Junior Golf Program, based at Cedar Crest Golf Course, is designed to introduce young players to golf in an affordable and welcoming environment. Our goal is to develop core golf skills, build confidence, and create a fun learning experience that opens doors to future opportunities in the game and beyond.

Through group clinics, structured instruction, and on-course play, we provide children and teens with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals, develop sportsmanship, and build friendships—all while making golf more accessible to families in our community.

Our Summer 2026 Junior Golf Programs

We offer structured programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels to ensure every child gets the right level of instruction.

"Rookie" Level (Ages 7-9)

"Rookie" Level (Ages 7-9)

The "Rookie" Level is designed for young golfers, ages 7-9, who are just beginning their journey in the sport. This introductory level focuses on basic swing techniques, grip, stance, putting, and short-game fundamentals. Kids will build confidence through fun and interactive drills while learning the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.

As part of their experience, participants are also introduced to PGA Jr. League, a team-based format that transforms golf into a fun, social, and engaging environment. Unlike traditional individual play, juniors compete alongside teammates in a scramble format, allowing every player to contribute, learn, and grow together. This structure reduces pressure while encouraging collaboration, strategy, and confidence on the course.

Through a combination of instruction and team play, our engaging curriculum ensures young golfers not only develop fundamental skills, but also build friendships and a lasting love for the game in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
